CDMA AND OFDM SYSTEMS

WCDMA and DAB systems are well known applications of OFDM and CDMA principles. The WCDMA is intended to reinforce and later replace the GSM system. Preliminary timetable for this system is by 2002-2003. The DAB-system is intended for high quality digital audio broadcasting. Especially commercially successful OFDM based telecommunication system has been the ADSL system by which the PSTN local loop twisted pair can be used to transmit up to 8 Mb/s of data for uplink. Objective of this course is to present the basic principles of OFDM and CDMA systems and discuss also their practical realization.  This will cover aspects as
