- Exam is "closed book" exam:You may not use any material in the exam
- 7 questions: 1 mandatory and 4 chosen from the remaining 6 questionsAssignment:
- The mandatory assignment included in the course is a radio newtwork planning-task.
- It should be done in groups of two.
- The material is available from prof. Häggman (E206A) or from Seppo Saastamoinen (E307B).
- The Dead-line to return the assignment is on Monday 9.10. 2000.Requirements:
Teacher:
- S.72.420 Design methodology of telecommunication systems (3 credits) or its predecessor S-72.322 Communication Systems (3 credits)
The course material will be in English.
- Professor Sven-Gustav Häggman, who is the responsible teacher of this course.
Lectures will be held in English.Course status:
The course is lectured every academic year in the spring term. It is intended for fourth year students. The course can be included as a compulsory course in the major/minor subject Communication Systems and as optional course in the major/minor subjects Radio Engineering, Telecommunications Software, Telecommunications Technology, Teletraffic Theory. It is also included in the curriculum of the International Master’s Program in Telecommunications.
Passing the course:
Final grade:
- Examination: The exam requirements consist of the material distributed to the students.
- The Assignment: The course includes a compulsory assignment which is done in two persons’ teams. In the assignment is done a radio network plan for a fictive service area. In the assignment should the planning methods taught in the lectures be applied.
The first exam is on May 22, 2000, and the next exam will be in autumn 2000.Literature:
- The final course grade is calculated from the formula:
Final grade = (2Texam + Tassignment)/3
Both the exam and assignment grade should be accepted.
