Lab #2: Signalling in the GSM system

Introduction

In this laboratory work signalling and protocols of the GSM system are studied. After this laboratory work basic principles of GSM protocols and signalling should be understood. NetHawk MSC simulator and Siemens GSM1800 base station subsystem with two micro base stations are used in this laboratory work.

Blank signalling diagram   in pdf format, you can use this for exercises where you have to draw signalling diagrams.

Return laboratory reports no later than on Monday, December 3rd (*no* exceptions). You can return them into the box in the third floor of the E-wing (next to where you reserved the lab shift).
