The Liberation of the competition in the telecommunication brings new challenges to develop Pre-integration. The task of the Pre-integration of transmission systems has been to build whole systems from separate devices. These systems have been assembled and have been tested according to the customer requirements.

To reach the future objectives the Pre-integration has been divided into two separate parts as follows. The Node pre-integration serves traditional telecommunication's companies and new operators. The System pre-integration concentrates to serve dedicated network companies more. It is seen that operation of the Pre-integration is concentrating on the assembling and testing of new Access-system products in the future. The Access-products have to be refined as ready as possible when they are delivered and will take into use on the customer's station.

The expertise and know-how of the Pre-integration are along when Access-system product is developed and built by the product development. Based in this work the effects of the Access-system product on the present operation of Pre-integration are examined and estimated. The examination is based on the criteria that have been derived from the objectives of the company.
