In this work a new traffic measurement method for GSM900 and GSM1800 systems is investigated. The measurement method is to monitor the mobile station transmission activity on the GSM radio interface. The aim of this work is to investigate the suitability of the new measurement method for its purpose and to analyze the measurement error quantity.
