My research topics include OFDM and CDMA systems, fiber optic communications, wideband radio propagation, 4G networks, Quality of Service (QoS) issues and product/service development processes. I am giving lectures in Helsinki University of Technology, Communications Laboratory, in S-72.124 Product Development of Telecommunication Systems, S-72.227 Digital Communication Systems, S-72.423 Telecommunication Systems and S-72.245 Transmission Methods in Telecommunication Systems. My current research projects (funded by Academy of Finland, TEKES and a set of companies) deal with optical networks, and Power Line Communications (PLC). In addition to this, I'm participating to some Technical Program Committee (TPC) activities as for instance to ICC'05 and WPMC '05.  In '03, I edited book about high-tech product development (Handbook of Product and Service Development in Communication and Information Technology) and its table of contents and introductory chapter can be inspected here (pdf 255 kb). My PhD thesis investigated wideband radio propagation characterization and the manuscript is available for download in pdf-format (1874 K).
