    PERSONNEL

    		 Communications laboratory has a modern full featured GSM-1800 system with MSC-simulator (Nethawk), BSC (Siemens), 2 x BTS, 3 test MS, coaxial cable network for simulating radio connections, power supply with UPS and LMT for maintenance and administration the system. There are 2 laboratory excercises ready for studying this GSM-1800 system in practise.

    GSM = Global System for Mobile communications
    MSC = Mobile services Switching Centre
    PSTN = Public Switched Telephone Network
    UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply
    MS = Mobile Station (Mobile Phone)

    BTS: 

    • 2 Siemens BS-11 Base Stations
    • Two TRX (Transmitter/Receiver) per BS
