The goal of this
course is to introduce some non-technical factors
that influence the quality and success of a telecommunications
service in the consumer market. The approach in the course will be user-centered and thus it mainly considers
things from the viewpoint of psychology.
The subject matters:
- user experience and acceptability of service/product
- human cognition; usability
- human perception; quality of service
- emotions and social behavior
- the process of user-centered design and its methods
To pass the course
you'll have to do weekly exercises and pass the examination. The grade will be determined
by the grade of the exam.
The main material on
this course is a small collection of articles that can be found
at the secretary of the telecommunications lab (2nd floor, Sähköosasto)
where they have been placed for copying.
