Weekly exercises

Working with weekly exercises is best fit for those students who cannot attend classes regularly, but wish to get feedback on their learning. There are five exercise rounds, plus one larger assignment. The larger assignment and a final exam consitute the grade.

Exercise rounds

The exercises are published on this WWW page on Friday mornings. The answers must be submitted on the next Thursday following the publication by 13.00 (1 p.m.). The larger assignment will be reviewed on the final lecture on November 5th, 1999 10-12.

Counselling

A voluntary weekly meeting for students taking the exercises is held on Fridays 8.30-10. An assistant will be there to help - learnings from the previous exercises will be discussed, and the next round will be initialized. One may also contact the assistant by e-mail at s72400@hut.fi. Appointments are made by e-mail as well.

Grading

The five first rounds of exercises are not graded - feedback will be given at the weekly meetings at by request also via e-mail. In order to pass the curse, each exercise round mut be submitted, and all questions answered.

All students on the course take the same final exam after the course.
