Fall 2007
Outline
Telecommunication systems operate in
transmission channels whose properties dictate a great deal of their design.
For instance, communication by microwave links or by power-line communications
set quite different requirements for modulation, channel coding and channel
estimation. The objective of this course is to inspect the various physical
level design philosophies and practical structures in telecommunication systems
in order to enable reliable and efficient telecommunications.
